Comprehensive MRO Training

This instruction provides the qualification training required by the U.S. Department of Transportation and preparation for the AAMRO MRO certification examination.Comprehensive MRO Training is required for all new MRO candidates certifying through AAMRO.

Course Overview

This training provides an in-depth look at the responsibilities of the Medical Review Officer (MRO) and related processes in workplace drug and alcohol testing. Key topics include:

  • MRO roles and procedures

  • Specimen collection and laboratory testing

  • Alcohol testing and SAP evaluations

  • Alternative medical explanations for drug test results

  • Technical, legal, and risk management considerations

  • Emerging substances and designer drugs


CME Credits

This program is accepted for 21.75 prescribed credit hours by the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) and the American Board of Preventive Medicine (ABPM).
