AAMRO Online MRO Training & Certification Exam
AAMRO now provides physicians the opportunity to complete their MRO training and certification exam online using any computer & high-speed Internet connection. The online training consists of a 11-module e-learning course—the first offering to allow professional Medical Review Officers to complete their training and exam online.
Online MRO Online Course
- The online training must be completed within 30 days from the course assignment start date
- The cost of the online training is $750.00 for AAMRO members, $950 for new physicians.
- Training progress can be saved so you can log on and off within the 30 day period to work at the pace that is best for you
- Requires purchase of the current edition of the Medical Review Officer Handbook
- CME Credits: This program is accepted for 15 prescribed credit hours by the American Academy of Family Physicians and American Board of Preventive Medicine.
Online Certification Exam
You may take the online exam after you have completed the online recertification course or if you have attended an on-site training with AAMRO within the last 12 months.
- Online exam is open-book
- Exam must be completed within 30 days of the exam start date
- You may save your work and return to it as often as needed in order to complete the exam in the allotted time
- Exam is taken on your own computer with an Internet connection
- Online exam results (pass or fail) are provided immediately at the end of the exam; at this point you will also be able to review any questions you answered incorrectly
- Up to 2 re-tests permitted after a failed exam; re-tests must be completed within a 3-month time frame on-site or online
- Full payment is required to take the exam a 3rd time
- CME Credits: Online exam is accepted for 16 prescribed credit hours by the American Academy of Family Physicians and American Board of Preventive Medicine.
